Terms of Service
Beta version · Last updated October 5, 2026
Ask'n Check is in beta. These terms are written in simple English and may change before the public launch. We'll tell you in the app when they do.
1. Agreeing to these terms
By creating an account or using Ask'n Check ("the app", "we"), you agree to these Terms, our Privacy Policy and our Community Guidelines. If you don't agree, don't use the app.
2. Who can use it
- You must be 18 or older.
- One account per person and per mobile number. Only Philippine mobile numbers are supported.
- Your name and birthdate must be true.
3. What Ask'n Check is
Ask'n Check connects people who want something checked (requesters) with people nearby who check it (checkers). Checks are about information at public places: stock and price, queues, whether a place is open, or which nearby shop has an item.
- Checkers are not our employees. They choose which tasks to accept.
- Ask'n Check doesn't handle items or money. Checkers never buy, carry or deliver anything.
- Ask'n Check takes no fee during the beta.
4. You pay for the check, not for the answer
A reward pays for the checker's time and trip. "Out of stock", "closed" or "couldn't check" (for example, the store doesn't allow photos) is still a real answer, and the checker is still paid.
5. Requesters
- Post clear tasks at public places only. See what's not allowed.
- Rewards are ₱50 to ₱1,000 ("Find it nearby" starts at ₱100). Up to 10 tasks per day.
- You can cancel only before a checker accepts. Once accepted, the checker is on the way, and you can't cancel.
- Review the proof within 24 hours. If you don't, it is approved automatically.
- If something is missing, reject it with a reason. The checker can send new proof once; after a second rejection, we review it.
6. Checkers
- You need a GCash QR in the app before you can accept tasks. One task at a time.
- Start within 15 minutes of accepting, check in near the place, and send proof taken with the in-app camera at that place and time.
- Follow store rules. If photos aren't allowed, answer in text and choose "Couldn't check".
- Your safety comes first. You may leave any task that feels unsafe; you get no strike for unsafe tasks.
- You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.
7. Payments
During the beta, the requester pays the checker directly through GCash. Ask'n Check is not part of the payment and never holds your money.
- After you approve the proof, the app shows the checker's GCash QR. Pay the full reward, then enter the GCash reference number in the app (you can also attach your GCash receipt).
- 2 hours after approval, if the task is still not marked paid, you can't post new tasks until you mark it paid.
- 48 hours after approval, if it is still not paid, you get one strike.
- If the checker reports "not received", pay again and attach your receipt. If they report it a second time, we review it. A false "not received" report gives the checker a strike.
8. Strikes, suspensions and bans
You get a strike for not paying within 48 hours, not starting a task within 15 minutes, not showing up, missing the deadline, or a false payment report.
| Strikes | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 | Warning |
| 2 | 24-hour suspension |
| 3 | 7-day suspension |
| 4 | Permanent ban |
Strikes stop counting after 90 days. Danger to others, illegal tasks or harassment lead to an immediate ban. Deleting your account and signing up again doesn't remove recent strikes or a ban.
9. Disputes
Tap "Contact support" in the app or email askncheck.support@gmail.com. We look at the task history, proof, chat and payment records, and decide. If you disagree, reply to our email and we will look again.
10. Your content
You own the photos you take. By sending them, you let Ask'n Check store, show and process them to run the service, and you let the requester use the result for their own personal purpose. Only send photos you took yourself, at the place, at the time. Proof photos and receipts are deleted 90 days after the task ends.
11. Things we can't promise
- Checks are done by other users. We don't guarantee that every answer is correct or that stock, prices or queues stay the same after the check.
- We are not responsible for what happens inside stores or other places, or for payments between users.
- The app may sometimes be unavailable while it is in beta.
- To the extent the law allows, Ask'n Check is not liable for indirect losses from using the app.
12. Ending your account
You can delete your account anytime in Profile & settings → Delete account, after your tasks in progress (including payment) are finished. See Delete your account. We may suspend or ban accounts that break these terms.
13. Changes
We may update these terms. If the change is important, we'll tell you in the app before it applies. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.
14. Law
These terms follow the laws of the Republic of the Philippines.
15. Contact
askncheck.support@gmail.com, or "Contact support" in the app.
